MakerBot Replicator 2
What is it?
The MakerBot Replicator 2 is a 3D Printer that all TCTC students are able to use. Past prints have included
objects for school projects, cell phone cases, figurines, rings, and bracelets.

How do you use it?

Prepare an object to print using one of the following methods:

Find, download, and save an already-made object at thingiverse.com or at tinkercad.com

Create simple objects using the MakerBot PrintShop app or thingiverse.com.

Design your own object using 3D Design software such as Tinkercad, SketchUp for Schools (in the G Suite), Fusion 360 (make sure to save it with a .stl file extension)

Edit your creations (either from Thingiverse or ones you've designed) using the MakerBot DeskTop software (optional)

Save your file to a flash drive, save it to your Google Drive, or email the file to yourself.

Visit Mrs. Henning in the media center to check the dimensions of your object before it prints. All prints must be paid for in advance.

How much does it cost?

All prints are $0.10/gram of filament used. Mrs. Henning will give you a price quote before she prints your object.
How long does it take?

Prints usually take several hours, depending on the sizes of the objects. Objects will be printed on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, objects that are school-related will be printed before objects that are not for school.
